Day1: USA – México Today you arrive from USA to Mexico (Guadalajara). Your private English speaking guide will be waiting for you in the airport. With him you will have a tour around the city. Guadalajara is perhaps the most “Mexican” of all cities. Place of birth of the Mariachi Music and home of many historical buildings in the city center and modern open metropolis on the other hand. Guadalajara is Mexico`s second largest city counting about 7 Million inhabitants. Day 2: Guadalajara – Jalisco – Tlaquepaque. Today you visit Basilica of Our Lady of Zapopan. The Basilica of Our Lady of Zapopan and the abbey of Our Lady of Expectation of Zapopan are a 17th-century Franciscan sanctuary built in downtown Zapopan, in the state of Jalisco, México. It is one of the most visited sanctuaries in Western Mexico, and it preserves a wooden Virgin that is considered a valuable relic of medieval origin, which came from Spain to New Galicia in the 16th century. The Huichol Museum is located in the building. After, you go to Tlaquepaque. Another town close to Guadalajara. Tlaquepaque features El Parián, a large plaza flanked by columned arcades and surrounded by restaurants and bars. The main square in the city center is known as El Jardín Hidalgo (“Hidalgo Garden”), named after Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, the “Father of Mexican Independence.” A larger-than-life statue of Hidalgo dominates the square. Other main features include the two important churches, El Santuario de Nuestra Señora de la Soledad (The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Solitude) and San Pedro (Saint Peter), and the Benito Juárez market.
